COVID-19 HEALTH AND SAFETY
OUR COMMITMENT TO SAFETY
We are thrilled to be welcoming audiences back to the Coal Mine for live theatre. As we continue to navigate the complexities of live performance amidst a post-pandemic environment,, the health and safety of our patrons, artists and staff remains our primary guiding principle.
To that end, the following determinations have been made in regards to Covid-19:
*Updated August 9, 2023
VACCINATIONS
The Coal Mine encourages all artists, volunteers, contractors and patrons to get vaccinated against Covid 19 (and other illnesses such as the flu) and keep up to date with booster doses. Proof of vaccination is no longer mandatory for artists, staff, volunteers or patrons.
MASKS
Masks are no longer mandatory inside the Coal Mine. However, their use remains strongly recommended for all staff, volunteers and patrons.
AIR QUALITY
The Coal Mine’s theatre, lobby and greenroom have been equipped with HEPA Air Filters. An HVAC system in the main theatre space filters fresh air from outside the building into the theatre while filtering out stale air from inside.
CLEANING PROTOCOLS
Enhanced cleaning and sanitation protocols are in place for common contact surface areas before, during, and after each performance.
FOOD AND DRINK
The Coal Mine bar is now open. Patrons may bring their drinks into the theatre.
#SafeTravels
"The Coal Mine Theatre has been awarded a #SafeTravels stamp, which is recognized globally for adopting standardized health and hygiene protocols."
